language. So you mean it is better to drop the existing help
translation and replace it with an empty or default en-US one?
Yes, drop the existing "stuff", it's not really a translation. I think
someone ran an algorithm, matching a short wordlist against words
occurring in the help files and then, without any manual intervention,
submitted that. In a word, it's cr**. Replacing it with en-US at least
ensures that users get help files they can understand rather than
gibberish.
I am no expert here, I have to check and understand it first...
Ok, in which case the most painless way is probably to wait for a
nightly build/release candidate and for me to check if it's ok, rather
than sending you off chasing code. Do we have rcs/nightlies?
