Halo Manfred, When you directly insert the image to a writer file there is no option to control the transparency level of the graphic. However - if you insert instead a Frame where you want your graphic first, then set the background property of the frame to your image the transparency function is available. Normally you would also set the property 'Type' to 'Area' also, but as you will see you have plenty of choices for ways to go then.
