We're talking about a per-style setting. For some styles you'll want
this (e.g. for your body text style), for others you'll not want it
(e.g. some bulleted list style).
I'm also not sure what specific compatibility setting you're referring
me to. Note that this is a recognized open bug.

but less than a handful of people even follow the bug. I would like to
draw some/the developers' attention to the issue, as I believe it is
important and bugs a lot of potential users who might simply not be
reporting it, or using rather annoying workarounds.
Can anyone offer thoughts/suggestions on this matter?
