Simon developed the initial object-oriented concepts and the original
prototype code.  He began working with the development group in Endicott
starting in 1989.  There was a lot of work/meetings from that point working
on the fine points of the specification and it was fully turned over to
Endicott in 1993.  The original prototype was almost totally rewritten in
93/94 (in C) and got a major rework again in 95 when it was converted from
C to C++.  I suspect I can claim authorship of about 80-90% of the final
code that was turned over to Boeblingen.

The 1.2 version was developed by a team of people for which I was the
lead.  I did a lot of performance work on that version that shipped in OS/2
1.3, then completely rewrote the interpreter to create the 32-bit version.
The 32-bit work was basically all my work.
