OK.  12558 doesn't have the recent changes to the Docs, but it does seem to
run my programs alright -  Yay.

I notice on sourceforge  files download page:

1)  You can nominate a default download for operating systems such as
Windows, Mac or Linux.  I'm not sure if that is any use to us even on
Windows, because people still have to make a choice of 32 or 64 bit.

2) Logged in as me, at the bottom of the download page sourceforge has a
nudge reading "You should add a README file
<https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/documentation/Files-Readme/>, to provide
release notes. It will be shown right here."   We should probably add such
a file to help people select the correct download.

When another version is available I will download it and see if I still get
the 11 minute delay and I will try to see what processes (if any) are
active during that time.
