Greetings ooRexx'ers,
Two items about ooRexx build packages for Ubuntu:
1) Wishing to review just now the available .deb packages of ooRexx for Ubuntu versions... I clicked the green button at first... thinking it would land me to the downloads page. I did not. Instead it
offered me to download this file:
oorexx-5.2.0-13156.ubuntu1604debug.x86_64.deb
Debug offered by default?
And I happen to be running Xubuntu 24.04 on this machine.
2) Ubuntu released a new LTS version back in April of this year, 26.04. May I
request a build specifically for 26.04 at convenience of the developers?
I have installed the ooRexx 24.04 package on 26.04 and it appears to work
successfully.
Soon I have my first 26.04 production deployments. It seems ready for prime time. Prior LTS releases have had some initial problems... one I had to actually wait until the ".2" update to even get it
to install properly! That was waiting for sure!
And no! Not in Snap package format... still the trusty original .deb package
format please.
