The finished attribute is for internal use only. It should never have been
documented in the first place, and should never have been put in any
example code.
There is no need, or reason, for the programmer to touch the finished
attribute. Doing so is likely to have unintended consequences.
What do you want to do that you think you need the finished attribute for?
