Or if it can be gotten through some other COM object. In the ooRexx distribution there are a number of example programs that show how to use WMI though the oleObject class. Then, in addition if you google "WMI scripting" you can find a lot of example scripts using WMI. Not in Rexx of course, but it is usually pretty easy to translate the script to something using the oleObject, using the example programs shipped with the distribution to get you started. There are a number of people in RexxLA that could help with this. I was hoping that, if I got people starting using the ooRexx User list, we could get some more robust discussions between users going on. Rick and I know well how the oleObject class is implemented, but I at least have very little knowledge of it's practical use in a Rexx program.
