No, I'm not saying it is not possible, I'm saying that the runtime he's
referring to does not exist. The IBM Object Rexx product had a runtime
environment that would only run programs that had been translated with
rexxc. You could not develop and run new Rexx programs using that version.
Since the IBM product was a paid program, you could develop and distribute
programs to others using the limited runtime without them needing to
purchase the Object Rexx product. You still needed to install the runtime
on each machine where you wanted to run the application, but there was no
additional charge required to do so. Open Object Rexx does not have a
separate limited runtime, we just have the single interpreter version.
