That is not true. In the example code that I gave and in my emails I have specifically stated that I think equality of functions in Axiom should be changed so that it applies EQ after resolving the functions. Right now I am looking for a way to do this inside the Mapping domain, in the operation MappingEqual instead of by using the "hack" of applying the functions to some test arguments before testing the equality.
