Arch doesn't stop you from using sf as the host - it is happy with a simple http transport. The advantage is that if, say, I wanted to hack on the simulator for a while, I could do that under full revision control /on my own webserver/ and publish the results without ever touching (your) CVS, you would retain full control over that while I could easily publish neatly contained changes that others can automatically apply (no sending around patches etc).
