Hi all

> My return question however is: is anyone even using VBE anymore?
Yes linux installations with vesafb, bootloaders, old games

FYI:
Graphics Hardware and Drivers for Windows "Longhorn"
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/display/graphics-reqs.mspx
Support VGA graphics
Required for system boot
”Designed for Windows” Logo Program 3.0 proposed requirement
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlogo/downloads.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlogo/hwrequirements.mspx
There is written what they expect from HW to do...

I think we can do VESA 1.x and VBE/PM and for DOS games do VESA2.0 TSR if
really needed.
I'm in hurry right now I will write more later.

Regards

Rudolf
