To be honest, I have no idea what this is or how it works.  I'll pass
it on to Russel who can take care of it.

I don't know what it means to allow GMANE users to post.  I would
rather that people be individual subscribers, but I can't come to a
conclusion until I know what's going on.  I definitely don't want a
way for SPAM to get in.
