He's uncomfortable with us using Clairvoyance as a trade name within
the computer industry, and I agree that it's a gray area. I withdraw the
suggestion to use it as a name for the FPGA development board.

I can verify that Clairvoyance(r) is a registered trademark of ProVUE
Development, and that we have actively been using that mark since 1985.
This mark has been used in conjunction with one of the most important
features of our products and is possibly the most recognized term
associated with our company by both the public and in the trade press.

As for whether your proposed use would conflict, I am not an attourney,
but since both applications would be within a single industry it seems
to me that the possibility for confusion definitely exists, which would
create a definite conflict.

I know how frustrating a name search can be, but from a quick Google
search I see that you are already mulling quite a few other good names.

Sincerely,

Jim Rea
