Which controller, kernel, and file system are you using ?

This market is taken or will be in the near future, at least at the
low-end :

Yes. One of the killer applications on F/OS operating systems right now
is smtp/http filtering.

That's not an acceptable proposition for most companies, I'm afraid.
Even if a full transition from Windows to F/OSS occurs, it will take
some time, during which Windows boxes will need antivirus protection.
So the market for a FPGA virus scanner accelerator is there.
