I'm quite interested in this. I'm an undergrad electronics student,
and so have encountered some VHDL. I'm interested in obtaining some
more skills etc in the area. I haven't used Verilog before, but intend
on learning it now to participate in this project!
Am I right in thinking that no open source synthesizers exist?
Icarus will do synthesis, but not specifically for any real devices.
It doesn't matter, though. We'll make it work in simulation. I'll
then tweak it for synthesis.
