The Spartan 3's are cheaper. Any of the Virtex 4 chips with the amount of logic we need are unfeasibly costly.
XC4VLX60 = $600 (a bit smaller than Spartan 3 4000) XC4VLX200 = $8000 !!!! On 6/21/06, tsuraan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

In school, we did projects with both, and it was always the Virtex chips that had the area and speed to do interesting things. Are the Spartan-3's a lot better than Virtex-2's, or just a lot cheaper? _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
