Anyone have an in with the CrossOver people? I was trying to install Xilinx ISE with the CrossOver Linux beta, and I ran into a really interesting problem during the installation. At the point when I'm typing in the registration code, I get four four-character fields into which to type in the 16-digit key. Unfortunately, there is a problem with CrossOver that lets me type only 3 characters into each field.
I've emailed them, but I suspect, however, that until I pay them money (For what? I can't use it!), I'm not going to get a peep out of them. Also, Xilinx really should release a Mac version of ISE. I need a notebook, and it looks to me like the MacBook Pro has the best combination of weight, size, performance, etc., although I'm not 100% sure. It's not as though Xilinx don't already have two UNIX versions, although I do realize that it is a challenge to support yet another platform. It's just that being able to run FPGA simulation and synthesis software is a major factor in my purchasing decision. _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
