Neither do I. > I think I'll stick with GNU/Linux and OpenOffice. Personally, I use plain UTF-8 text for most things and LaTeX for the rest. I only use OpenOffice as a viewer. I am just saying that there are some very real usability improvements in the new Word. It would be useful to study them and learn from them. Moreover, they will have the consequence that the number of new LaTeX users will decline drastically because Word 2007 will give them the things that only LaTeX used to be able to deliver. Word 2007 will do it while looking nice and without their having to go to school first to operate it, which is what LaTeX feels like to most people. Anybody who is at all serious about usability should take a look at the whole Office 2007, especially Word and Excel. -Peter _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
