That will not do any good as long as W is in office.
Does anyone know how much an Intel 82G965 chip costs?
Keep in mind that Inthell is nearly as evil as Microshit. They do not
care one bit about their customers, even large (very very large)
ones. Their designs tend to be full of unbelievable brain damage.
I can certainly confirm that that is true of some of their past designs.
However, as you point out, the problems with Intel are not ones of
intent. Ignoring your customers (Intel) is much different than
deliberately plotting to screw them (Micro$oft). I hope that Intel has
improved now that they have serious competition. I have seen some good
signs.
You'd be better off reverse engineering a chip from
nvidea/ati/whoever.
Possibly, but in this case, the Intel chip appears to best meet our
needs. And, I presume that with an NDA that we could obtain all of the
information that Xorg has about this chip. I would much rather use an
AMD chip, but they don't seem to make one that would meet our needs.
Oddly, their NDA was surprisingly reasonable, as NDAs go.
Yes, KP said that that was true. Actually from what he said, you could
conclude that Intel was being very helpful to the open source community.
I hope that that is true.
