OGD1 was recently mentioned in O'Reilly's Radar "elite-blog" aggregator:

http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2007/01/open_graphics_c.html

The same blogger, Allison Randall, shows interest in the subject of open
hardware:

http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2007/02/open_source_and_1.html

So I assume it is safe to conclude that:
1) Mr. O'Reilly probably knows about OGD1
2) someone in his entourage actively shows interest in the project
3) Mr. O'Reilly publishes the Make magazine

Do you see any pattern emerging? :-)

If nobody on the list has direct contacts with someone at O'Reilly,
maybe a kind, explorative, mail to Allison Randall could be a good move.

Otherwise, there seem to be a regulated process for making submission to
the magazine:
http://makezine.com/submissions.csp

But first I'd rather try to "jump the queue", if you know what I mean...

ciao,
        Carlo
