Sorry, I don't know if PostScript has a builtin for reflected gradients.
I hacked on Ghostscript a fair bit years ago, but I never messed with
gradients.  I just thought that the idea of PostScript not being able to do
gradients didn't sound right, so I found a demo program with google.

Since it is a full programming language, anything should be possible if
someone writes the code to do it.  But being interpreted, some things can
be pretty slow.  :-)

Can Inkscape output a .png file? (or gif, jpeg, ...)  It might help if I had
a clue what you were trying to do.  :-)
