Hi all,

I've been slowly documenting pinouts on the OGD1 Components page:

http://wiki.opengraphics.org/tiki-index.php?page=OGD1+components+guide

I want to tackle the FPGAs soon.

Since so many of the FPGA pins are general purpose, I think it will also
be useful to identify what *we* are using the pins for -- i.e. which
buses they are connected to. I'll start working on that in connection
with the schematics.

I appear to have finally figured out the packaging for the Lattice XP10.
I was thrown by the cruciform/patches pattern on the board, but after
some study I realized that the dots on the back of the board are the
vias, and they are offset diagonally from the balls (Duh! No pins).

I still have a little ambiguity with the Spartan, though...

The Bill of Materials says the Spartan 3S4000 we are using is the 900
ball variant, but the PCB layout sheets still show this 676 ball version.

Is the BoM more up-to-date? Is it the 900-Ball fpBGA package that I need
to document? (And if so, how is there room for it?! :-) ).

BTW, the datasheet link for the Spartan 3 family is broken. I found a
copy using the IA. I think they just moved it, though, as I'm getting
some likely looking links with Google. But it'll have to be found again.

Thanks,
Terry
