I want to put something like this into a pop-up from the OGD1 order page. Please critique:
OGD1, Revision B (OGD1P-256DDAV; AS-000-0002) OGD1 is an FPGA prototyping kit. With FPGAs, user I/O, and video output hardware, OGD1 is ideal as a basis for the development of computer hardware, particularly graphics. OGD1 is production-ready and is currently being offered for PREORDER at this time. Once the first 100 units have been ordered, production will begin with a lead-time of 8 weeks. The first 100 preorders are eligible for a $100 discount, a free Lattice programming cable, and a free VGA adaptor. Major features of OGD1: Xilinx(R) Spartianā¢-3 XC3S4000 FPGA Lattice⢠XP10 FPGA 64-bit PCI-X (133MHz) card edge (compatible with 32-bit 33Mhz PCI) 256 MiB of DDR400 memory 66 user I/O signals on a 92-pin Hirose connector 68 user I/O signals on an optional 100-pin ICD connector Two pairs of DVI transmitters (dual link) 330MHz RGB/VGA triple DAC Revision B of OGD1 is sold as a "blank," preprogrammed only with basic diagnostic logic. Typical users of OGD1 are already familiar with HDL programming and FPGA logic design and have access to their own FPGA programming tools. Other users may be interested in learning FPGA logic design or would like to contribute to the growth of the Open Graphics Project and other Open/Free-design Hardware projects. Basic functional logic OGD1, Verilog module skeletons, examples, and extended documentation are currently under development and can be downloaded via the Open Graphics Project. OGD1 was produced in collaboration with the Open Graphics Project (OGP) (http://www.opengraphics.org). Detailed information about OGD1 can be found on the OGP wiki (particularly http://wiki.opengraphics.org/tiki-index.php?page=OGD1+components+guide). There is also a Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_graphics). If you are a contributor to the OGP or would like to contribute, please contact the Open Hardware Foundation (http://www.openhardwarefoundation.org) for discount offers. -- Timothy Normand Miller http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~millerti Open Graphics Project -- Timothy Normand Miller http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~millerti Open Graphics Project _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
