Paralleling diodes does very little to lower the voltage drop.
If you
need a lower voltage drop, you select a different diode. They're
improving all the time.

Very little or not, the diode is there, so why not use it. He did
have a point, and iirc all power circuits missed this. So that would
be D1, D2 and D3 on page 16/17/18.

This is in the FAQ, but... the answer could use improvement.
The argument that cards hitting the marked aren't supported until
beta drivers are available, at which point you can't actually buy the
card anymore (last Monday the news got out that R500 is now working
with open source drivers, but try buying a card with a R500
chipset..) seemed to get the point across. Don't know what the FAQ is
saying atm though.
If these guys are so enthusiastic, can we recruit them for the
project?
Yes, we should. However as I said, can't remember exactly who he
was. :) I believe Atilla has contact details.
Is a PR database in place?
Afaik the general way of doing things is dropping a mail here, so, no.
Good write up, Michael, thanks!
NP :)
Cheers,
Michael
