What kind of help do you need? I've some knowledge of writing
kernel drivers and could help with that, but unfortunately,
i hardly have any free time these days :-(

Hmm... would it be possible to add a YV12 (4:2:0) -> RGB overlay
module until LinuxTag? it would be quite cool if we could show
full scale HD videos on a OGD1 at LT :-)
Actually, something similar to mga_vid, ie a raw overlay buffer,
that is up-sampled, colour converted and drawn onto screen with
a minimal kernel interface would be best.
If this is too much work, i'll see whether i can get a resonably
fast CPU so that we could do it in software. But that would still
require twice the amount of data to be transfered to the OGD1.
