Yeah, why not! In the short term, we have various LinuxFund hardware
project funds. There's OGD1 and gEDA, for instance. OGD1 and gEDA
cover different angles, and I think they're both very important. I'm
not sure if there are other more optimal things we can do to push open
hardware forward, but these are what I know about.
I would like to see OGD1 documented in gEDA schematics, netlist, and layout.
Meanwhile just being able to view the layout in the open software gerbv
would be great, but it's published in RS274-D (old version) instead of
RS274-X Gerber format. Gerbv is RS274-X only.
Is it possible to choose RS274-X output and regenerate the Gerbers for OGD1?
