You're worried about 2 seconds every half hour?  It takes over 4 minutes
to microwave another batch of popcorn.  :-)

The TI DSP is almost fast enough to decode 1080 mpeg2, so the next speed
bump might be enough.  But if we want H.264...

I figure Barcelona will be affordable in a couple years, although it will
still be too expensive and power hungry for this box.  Not sure what I
would need 128 bit floating point for.
