I've lost track. A few of the candidate chips have prices, but are there any with a real data sheet? If we can't get a real data sheet we can't use the chip. Unless someone thinks they can reverse engineer it. I'm not a business type, what does it take to get a real data sheet? Do they require an NDA signed by a VP of a Fortune 500 company or what? A lot of products come from dinky little companies, how do they get data sheets? > if "Sigma Designs chips are said to have problems with > anything other than plain play mode," (from 1st draft of > requirements) these might have similar problems. Yeah. :-( And I worry about the ability to handle things that are not quite standard, like TV stations that send out 1088i instead of 1080i. _______________________________________________ Open-hardware-ethervideo mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-hardware-ethervideo
