There is a mechanism but it could be improved.  You can link arbitrary
accounts together, and can designate one or more as being "lead" for
the group.  But this information needs better exposure and quicker
ways to navigate (perhaps in the patron summary sidebar), and right
now a given account can only be in one group.

These user groups are different and distinct from permission groups.
You can be in multiple permission groups.

It's also different from patron buckets, another grouping mechanism,
which are coming soon, and will be similar to record and item buckets.
 Buckets can be more adhoc and used and shared for whatever grouping
purposes you want, though they're often used for batch actions on the
bucket contents.
