Unfortunately, I am still unable to get at the MARC Batch import/export. I
have been logging on as admin and choosing the choice from the Cataloging menu
in the client. I get a blank screen in the client.

Is there another way to get in there? To vandelay?

Dale checked the permissions you refer to below and they seem to be OK.

Frances (I still cannot make any items, unfortunately).

Subject: Re: [OPEN-ILS-DEV] Vandelay - internal server errors...

Hi All --

I figured out the problem that I had for vandelay.

I needed to edit apache user and group on /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

Thanks to Dan Scott for pointing it out to me and I believe he has already
updated the install instructions on the wiki.

Cheers,

Hi --

When I'm trying to use vandelay I get an internal server error 500...

I am running OpenSRF 1.0.4 and Evergreen 1.4.0.2 on a Debian-Etch box. (I
followed the install instructions located on the Wiki and Everything seems good
so far).

I haven't done any configurations or made any changes (just created a patron
for myself - with admin user privileges).

This is what appears in my apache error.log: concerning vandelay....

Connection to Settings Failed Cannot sysopen /openils/var/log/osrfsys.log:
Permission denied at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/OpenSRF/Utils/Logger.pm line

I checked the permissions on the /openils/var/log directory and I do have my
opensrf user with permissions on the folder and all files in the directory...
(they are -rw-r--r--)

Any thoughts or ideas or any further logs you'd like to see - please let me
know and I'll forward them along. Willing to try anything.

Cheers,
Brendan
