Dear all

I am fine now - thanks Karen: on an iMAC in a FOSS VirtualBox environ I am running an official Windows Installation in which I run the FOSS Evergreen 1.6 staff client ... as they say "Hello World": http:// screencast.com/t/20kjxZegajw4

Cheers, Repke

One possibility maybe: on my same Windows PC I already had the 1.4
staff client installed but explicitly installed the 1.6 client in a
very different subdirectory - though both as user admin. Could
Windows still be mixing up ?

Repke, I feel this is entirely due to my bad guidance. Instead of using http:// (which indeed will not work -- I just tried it), just use dig.evergreen.lib.in.us (I have corrected the wiki).

Note, I have set up Windows to use different profiles and I installed 1.6 to a separate directory, and both seem to work for me.

I also played with the "Add SSL Exception": didn't help (with serious
certificate problems reported by the way)

I'm sorry, I also failed to clarify on the wiki that you will need to add an SSL exception. I will address that immediately.

Glad someone's trying this out, though :-)
