Hi Don,

As far as I know, the parts field is not an available holdings subfield in Vandelay.

Bill,

My thinking is that the vol.2 needs to show up in the Part Designation subfield not the Call Number field. Is that not right?

    Hi Don,

With this setup, you would ultimately get a copy with call number
"BV176.G37 1999vol.2". Is that what you're going for or is there
something else you expect/want to happen?

        Acquisitions Gurus,

        The scenario.
I have a bibliographic record that describes a two volume set.
We are purchasing just volume 2 of the set.
We are using a the 962 field to supply Order and copy data to
        Evergreen.

        The question.
Is it possible to supply the volume information so that it
        creates a correct copy record?
Would adding the volume to the call number accomplish this?

        Example.
        =962 \\$aBV176.G37 1999vol.2

        Don
