The second beta release of Evergreen 3.0 is now available. For the
full release announcement, please visit:

Evergreen 3.0 now requires OpenSRF 3.0, which also got an alpha
release today. Because of a change in how services written in the C
programming language are loaded, testers of the Evergreen beta /must/
plan on also installing OpenSRF 3.0.0-alpha.

At this time, I reiterate my call for all Evergreen users and admins
who can do so to test this beta release. A release candidate is
scheduled to be made on 29 September.
