Hello

I need some help figuring out what is wrong with my setup.

I am running a diskless Ubuntu 12.04.4 ( kernel 3.11.0-19-generic
#33~precise1-Ubuntu )
iscsi was set up with the ubuntu installer.

The problem is that after any network problem iscsi doesn't
recover/reconnect although i can reach the target (ping, telnet etc)

So my question is if iscsi (running from initramfs) serving a rootfs is
suposed to recover or not.

iscsiadm dump:
https://gist.github.com/Lupul/55d0818065236659bac5#file-open-scsi-running

From that file:

___
iscsiadm: can not connect to iSCSI daemon (111)!

It looks like iscsid is not running. Do

ps -u root | grep iscsi

Do you see iscsid? It needs to be up, because it is what does the reconnect/relogin when there is a connection problem.
