Ubuntu 12.04.4 is still affected by the bug presented here :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-iscsi/+bug/850960
which prevents iscsid service to start if iscsistart is launched in
initramfs.

I have fixed my problem by installing open-iscsi from sources.

Also Ubuntu 14.04 has this bug fixed.

Best Regards
Zollner Robert
