I believe Mike Christie added this commit: commit 84889ee383bd95bd8c08134fa743dea4f1fc1e73 Author: Mike Christie <[email protected]> Date: Thu Jan 14 05:45:16 2010 -0600 ibft boot: do not setup nic if offload can be used If the nic has a iscsi offload function then do not set up the nic with the ibft net settings. We will use those values for the iscsi net settings. I believe this is because the networks are already set up on these cards (or you wouldn't be able to boot), but I haven't looked at iscsistart much.
