I believe Mike Christie added this commit:

commit 84889ee383bd95bd8c08134fa743dea4f1fc1e73
Author: Mike Christie <[email protected]>

ibft boot: do not setup nic if offload can be used

If the nic has a iscsi offload function then do not
set up the nic with the ibft net settings. We will
use those values for the iscsi net settings.

I believe this is because the networks are already set up on these
cards (or you wouldn't be able to boot), but I haven't looked at
iscsistart much.

Mike, can you further enlighten us?
