*Position Scope *
This position guides the physical and logical relationship of data and data
integration changes for the enterprise.  The position requires a relentless
need for standardization, high performance, reliability, integrity and
recoverability.  The position will participate in leadership roles in
design, testing, and implementation of information management products. The
position works with system administrators, internal and external customers
and project teams to meet business, technical, and functional requirements
in a highly available, mission critical data integration environment. The
position provides the infrastructure, tools, and procedures for effective
information management.

*Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Attributes*
Informatica v 8.6 or later required
Technology based background with solid understanding of Informatica
products, including but not limited to:
Power Center (version 8);
Application ILM;
Data Quality;
Master Data Management.

*Job experience (number of years, type/level of previous experience) *
7 Years experience and knowledge with Informatica platform.  This includes
utilities, scripts, backup/recovery and business continuity practices.
7 Years experience and knowledge of database technology (Oracle and MS/SQL
Server).
7 Years of work experience with increasing responsibilities.


*Knowledge and skills (e.g. demonstrated ability to work under pressure, or
possesses good written and oral communication skills) *
Ability to participate in the completion of work by individuals inside and
outside the immediate team.
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.  Ability to work and
effectively communicate with IT management personnel, peers, and outside
vendors important.
Demonstration of good technical and tactical thinking and problem solving.

*Job Expectations/Performance *
Implementation, maintenance and sustainment for all levels of database
environments:
Coordinate compliance management;
Coordinate security protocols;
Perform and/or assist with patches and upgrades;
Installation of new package and/or rebuilding environments from clones and
instructions;
Monitor and maintain operational capability;
Help identify issues and suggest ways to help correct or tune performance
issues;
Coordinate backups;
Coordinate user account and privilege management.
Help conduct technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of
tools and methodologies to ensure that tools are current and functional.
Analyze, study and lead application and data integration requirements to
proactively design, plan, and deploy needed capabilities.
Work with development teams and designers to develop architectural
requirements to ensure client satisfaction with product.
Mentor junior staff members to improve their technical and professional
skills.
Provide answers to client inquiries concerning applications, databases, and
support. Refer inquires as necessary to appropriate personnel.
Provide end user support related to Informatica repository access and
software installation and maintenance.
Document and provide support; resolve issues to ensure that the system is
functioning according to specifications.
Work in partnership with system administrators and engineering groups to
assist in the design changes to equipment. Determine the impact upon
software deployments, operations, and supportability to ensure timely and
uninterrupted service for the customer.
Knowledgeable of applicable standards and best practices.
Assist with estimates on costs and schedule for required changes to system
baseline configurations.
Participate in hardware and software configuration management.
Participate in on-call rotation.
