qualifications: • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in lieu of Technical
Master's Degree • Minimum of 3 years administering and / or engineering the
SAS Grid platform • Minimum of 5 years experience with a proven track
record of supporting an enterprise-scale technology platform (BI,
analytics, ETL, application server, etc.). • Minimum of 5-10 years
experience with LINUX / UNIX operating systems • Possess knowledge and
understanding of firm-wide applications, examples of which include: Active
Directory, AutoSys, DB2, IBM Netcool, Oracle, SQL Server, WebSphere. •
Excellent troubleshooting skills • Experience with building and maintaining
effective relationships with stakeholders, clients, peers, supervisors,
subordinates and other internal company staff • Experience with one-or-more
popular LINUX / UNIX scripting languages.



*RESPONSBILITIES *

The SAS Grid Administrator will serve as the person that will ensure the
overall operation of an enterprise-scale SAS v9 Grid and associated
infrastructure meets operational and functional demands. Primary
responsibilities include: • The operation of the SAS Grid queues / jobs,
their prioritization, pre-emption, scheduling, and management. • Adding /
managing nodes across the SAS Grids. • Managing high-availability (HA) and
disaster recovery (DR) processes associated with the SAS Grids. • Working
closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to ensure this is a highly
efficient platform, which meets-or-exceeds service level agreements (SLAs)
and operational readiness requirements. • Ensure the SAS Grids meet
corporate security standards and policies, and participate in the
development of procedures and tools in support of them. • Define, implement
and maintain technology security infrastructure, policies, processes and
procedures to proactively protect, monitor, investigate and resolve threats
to a secure user environment and company assets as applicable to the SAS
Grids. • Participation in key architectural and engineering decisions as
they relate to the SAS Grid. • Collaborate not only within the Business
Intelligence Team, but across peer technology groups, in the support and
administration of the SAS Grid as it pertains to the overall environment. •
SAS Grid platform troubleshooting and performance optimization. • Support
all areas of SAS Grid platform, assisting with problems pertaining to
accessing the SAS Grid nodes or data, including acting as a liaison to SAS
technical support. • Participate in the definition of platform
administration and BI / analytics development standards. • Collaborate with
development and user communities in support of their use of the SAS Grid. •
Development of processes in support, and reporting of, metrics for the SAS
Grids' utilization, availability, and performance.
