*For Chicago* There will be a face to face after phone *High Frequency Equity Trading Applications Developer * My client is currently looking to hire a Trading Applications Developer with expert knowledge of C++ systems design and programming to work on a High Frequency Equity Trading desk. The individual in this position will work independently, with responsibility for gathering requirements from traders, developing new systems, and supporting existing systems. This position is located in our Chicago, Illinois office. *Responsibilities: * Work closely with traders to understand business requirements, design efficient and scalable solutions. Design, develop, test, rollout, and maintain server side and client side applications. Design & implement high transaction volume, automated trading systems. Create and maintain up to date work plans, communicating status to traders. Work closely with market data and network infrastructure teams as well as quantitative analysis team. Support systems during trading hours. Perform additional responsibilities as required. *Requirements: * Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. 3 to 5 years of experience developing trading systems in C++. Experience with database technologies, Sybase. Previous experience in financial industry a must; experience with the following equity exchanges a plus: ARCA, INET, BATS, EDGE. Development experience with messaging architectures (TIBCO or other). Strong understanding of system architecture and design. Understanding of financial models, statistical analysis, and/or simulation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a high pressure, dynamic trading environment. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
