If you have any candidate please share the profile at *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Responsibilities:* The successful candidate will be responsible for all activities related to the administration of data warehouse databases, including installation and upgrade activities, performance tuning, capacity planning, configuration management and backup & recovery management. *Responsibilities include:* Assist in installing, configuring, managing and supporting the various data warehouse servers. Provide on-going maintenance and monitoring of overall health of the servers. Support client requests for database changes, security needs and performance opportunities in the Teradata environment. Understand compliance requirements and ensure that servers are meeting mandated standards. Implement complex or non-routine data models and database designs and data access and table maintenance codes. Instruct application developers in the use of database concepts and tools to improve the efficiency of applications and advise on correct usage of appropriate data manipulation techniques. Implement changes into development, QA and production environments. Optimize effectiveness and efficiency of systems. Monitor, assess and perform tuning activities. Provide assistance to team members with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems and/or database knowledge. Coordinate recovery and problem resolution activities with other IM staff. *Additional Duties and Responsibilities:* Other duties as assigned *Qualifications:* 5+ years working directly with Teradata Experience scripting in Korn Shell Scripting 1-3 years experience in database administration Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain databases Database background for SQL queries, in standard DB platforms that could include SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle Thorough knowledge of underlying database management systems products and tools Knowledge of programming languages helpful, as well as background in Teradata ETL tools/methods, logical data modeling, and Informatica. Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions. Extremely detail oriented. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be in an on-call rotation.
