This role is tasked with integrating into Ecommerce by assisting with the design, build and operation of multiple types of ecommerce applications. This role is accountable for the availability of Ecommerce systems. The role is a hybrid between operations (60%) and engineering (40%). The successful candidate will have a background in both. What experience do you need to have? Because of the diverse technology stack(s) that make up our client's ecommerce environment(s), this role requires a diverse background in: Experience with HTTP servers Experience with Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application containers Experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce Server 1-3 years of experience working in the ecommerce technology space Linux/Unix platform expertise Experience with Apache and preferably experience with Reverse Proxies Experience with firewalls and common ecommerce security frameworks Strong communication skills, as this person will have frequent one-on-one interaction with other developers and team members Needs to be able to hit the ground running Will be trained in some of the harder to find skill sets, but should already be solid in all things Middleware Exposure to IBM Message Broker Exposure to Microsoft .NET Experience/familiarity with NoSQL database systems (Cassandra) Familiarity with ecommerce design patterns and development methodologies *Desired Skills: * Associates degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position. 1-3 years of experience in supporting IT Infrastructure or Security services 1-3 years working with IBM Liberty, Tomcat and IBM WebSphere (Base/ND) Exposure to Agile development methodologies preferred but not required Some background in Java development a plus but not required Please let me know if you need any more information.
