I don't believe vCenter asks for suspend scripts to be run in the guest OS. It's
been a while since I looked at that code, but IIRC suspend is handled different
in VC and in Workstation / Fusion.

If you have WS or Fusion you could try it out, but I'm pretty sure you won't be
able to get the suspend script to run on ESX.
