Hi guys

I have just completed the migration of our VMware setup to ESX4.1.
Also, I run Vcenter 4.1. now.

Everything seems to work fine. However, when migrating my Ubuntu VMs,
I always get a warning about "no guest os heartbeats are being
received".
This occurs with all Ubuntu VMs, 8.04 LTS and 10.04 LTS.
The tools on my 8.04 VMS are a bit hacky, so I don't mind that.
The tools on the 10.04 boxes are the open-vm-tools included with
Ubuntu, for use with dkms.
They do compile fine, and even the dkms automatic module build after
recent kernel upgrades works great.

What can I do about this?

PS. I just saw on http://open-vm-tools.sourceforge.net/ that there is
a new version out, which has build 261024, which almost matches my
ESX4.1 build (260247).
If there is any Ubuntu maintainer on this list, would it be an idea to
update the Ubuntu package?

Thanks

Dyonisius
