I thought I'd give the OSP packages a try first, because they will yield a cleaner system. Although Ubuntu 10.04 LTS is supported, the OSP packages do not work, because of the recently upgraded kernel: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/272749 Have just tried the 'official' tar installed, and that works fine, i.e. no problems making snapshots etc. I have filed a bug report for the Ubuntu tools: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-tools/+bug/611644 Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Palm PDK Hot Apps Program offers developers who use the Plug-In Development Kit to bring their C/C++ apps to Palm for a share of $1 Million in cash or HP Products.
