Some statistics for the 4.2.4 > development period (April 2010 to March 2011): > > ~600 new revisions to svn.open64.net > ~85K new source lines added > ~70K source lines deleted > ~180 defects resolved in bugs.open64.net > ~1300 email messages on open64-devel mailing list > Congrats!
# There's probably a more elegant way to do this, but... git log --since="1 year" | ggrep "commit " | wc -l 1195 The new vs deleted source lines in Path64 wouldn't give any sort of indication for our activity. (I'm sure it's in the 10's of MB which is a result of heavy changes in porting to various new platforms and other improvements) -------------- I am quite surprised that it's only 180 defects resolved and maybe AMD/HP could help boost that number with some of their internal statistics.. (I'm surprised that the addition of bulldzer and ssa manager didn't impact the SLOC count more) What about % gain in various benchmarks year after year? How many new developers were added in that year? (How many lost?) How many new subscribers to the open64-devel ml? How many downloads? How many new optimizations were added in that time? How much was the documentation improved? Where were the most active areas of the codebase? Who is the top contributor or maybe this is skewed by proxy commits... How does Open64 compare against llvm, gcc or other competition in that same period? These questions of course are deeper than just cosmetic stuff... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Forrester Wave Report - Recovery time is now measured in hours and minutes not days.
