The Open64 compiler version 4.2.4 has been released.
This release contains major performance enhancements,
defect fixes and infrastructure improvements. It comes
one year after the previous release (4.2.3 in April 2010).

The svn branch for the 4.2.4 release was created on March 29
and sources are available via Subversion from:

I would like to thank the Open64 developers for their
contributions to this release and the active participation
in the Open64 community. Some statistics for the 4.2.4
development period (April 2010 to March 2011):

 ~600  new revisions to svn.open64.net
 ~85K  new source lines added
 ~70K  source lines deleted
 ~180  defects resolved in bugs.open64.net
 ~1300 email messages on open64-devel mailing list

The development for the next release is in full swing. The
tentative name is Open64 4.2.5, targeted for April 2012.
