Since the thread is diverging from the original bug report - I'll once 
again chime in that I think it's very important for Open64 to require 
contributor agreements.  It doesn't have to assign copyright, but for 
the longevity of the project I think it's essential.  I can elaborate on 
the rationale and key elements needed if anyone is interested or listening.

Oh while I'm typing things I've said before.. reduce the threshold for 
new contributions and make great documentation..
