Would be nice to hear a little bit about what the plan is here...
U config/param.alpha_linux_2216_22.h
U config/param.alpha_linux_2216_22_usr.h
looks very interesting and practical, but would like to know a bit more
about how this is going to be applied to new and old platforms. I assume
this is a lead-in to generating some of those configs out of configure,
and having it be based on the config.guess string instead of a arbitrary
sysname?
