With all due respect to the people concerned with that sort of thing, I think it's pretty unreasonable to never change the output of any command to make it more user-friendly because people are doing things that they should never have had to do in the first place. We badly need a programmatic interface to AFS operations, and then at that point I (even being one of the people with scripts with that issue) think people should feel free to change the output of the commands all they want.
